LeBron James signs new R1.3 billion 2-year Los Angeles Lakers deal
Anthony Davis is expected to sign a new five-year, $190 million (R2.9 billion) contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The deal also includes an early termination option ahead of the 2024/25 season, the fifth year of the deal.
LEBRON JAMES AGREED A NEW 2-YEAR DEAL
With four guaranteed seasons, though, Davis has committed to the Lakers at least through his 31st birthday.
The agreement comes only a day after LeBron James agreed to a two-year, $85 million (R1.3 billion) extension of his own deal.
James will turn 38 during the final year of the deal.
All indications suggest James plans to spend the rest of his career in Los Angeles.
Now he can feel secure in knowing that Davis will be right there with him.
The Lakers are the defending NBA champions and 17-time winners of the title.
The new season will tip off on December 22, 2020.
